2020 Dodge Durango
The 2020 Dodge Durango is a large, powerful crossover packed with many impressive and time-tested features. From the grille to the rear bumper, this vehicle is built for maximum performance, comfort, and utility. Take a look at the features list for the 2020 Durango. It has a great deal to offer the discerning driver.
Trim Levels
The Dodge Durango for the 2020 model year comes in one of eight exciting trim levels, including the SXT, SXT Plus, GT, GT Plus, Citadel, R/T, Citadel Anodized Platinum, and SRT. The exterior is sleek for a crossover SUV, bearing subtle, understated lines on the front, hood, and sides. This Durango features a more rounded exterior style, abandoning the stale, boxy look that is so common to other SUVs. Exterior features include a rear lip spoiler, chrome-tipped exhaust, a rear step bumper, powered remote-heating manual-folding side-view door mirrors with turn signal indicators, and a powered liftgate. Options include a class IV trailering kit with hitch and harness, paint stripes, and narrower pinstripes, among others.
Engine
The 2020 Dodge Durango comes with one of four powerful engines. The first is a 3.6-liter V-6 regular gas engine generating 293 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. The second is a 3.6-liter V-6 regular gas engine producing 295 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. The third is a 5.7-liter V-8 regular gas engine providing 360 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque. The final engine is a beastly 6.4-liter V-8 premium gas engine that pounds out 475 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. All but the SRT trim come in two-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive versions, with the SRT available in all-wheel-drive only.
Performance
No matter the engine, the 2020 Durango comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission with overdrive and auto-manual capabilities. Overdrive replaces the highest gear with one that permits the engine to operate at lower RPMs for given road speeds, granting superior fuel efficiency and quieter running on the open road. Auto-manual allows drivers to switch between automatic and manual modes according to their personal tastes, so it doesn't matter if part of your family favors one and part the other: all will be able to drive this powerful and capable SUV.
Interior
The inside of the 2020 Dodge Durango is as well-equipped as the outside. It features a 7-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, a 60/40 split-folding second-row seat, a driver-friendly digital instrument cluster, triple-zone automatic climate control, and keyless start. Other options include a 115-volt auxiliary power outlet, an 8.4-inch touch screen upgrade for the infotainment system, GPS navigation, keyless access, remote start, powered front seating with memory settings, and comfortable fold-down third-row seating.
Safety Features
Standard safety features include a rearview reversing camera, and safety options include automatic emergency braking, forward-collision warning, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic detection, lane-departure warning, front and rear parking assistance systems, and adaptive cruise control. An array of seven occupant-sensing air bags round out the Durango's safety features. No matter where you go, you can rest assured that you and your passengers are safe inside the 2020 Dodge Durango.
