While the Grand Cherokee bears a striking resemblance to that of the previous model year, there are differences. Regular gas engines include a Pentastar 3.6-liter V-6 generating 295 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, and a 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 pounding out 360 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque. The 3.0-liter Ecodiesel V-6, producing 240 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque, is the sole diesel engine. Finally, premium gas engines include a 6.4-liter V-8 engine generating 475 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque and a 6.2-liter V-8 producing an impressive 707 horsepower and 645 pound-feet of torque.

With an eight-speed automatic transmission and optional all-wheel-drive, the Grand Cherokee for the 2020 model year is one of the quickest, most powerful vehicles in its class.
