2021 Jeep Compass
The Compass is arguably the first name in the Jeep lineup that comes to drivers' minds. This popularity is thanks to its incredible number of appealing features and stylish appearance. Read on for more highlights of the 2021 Jeep Compass.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
The small yet refined 2021 Jeep Compass is available in four trim levels: Sport, Latitude, Limited, and Trailhawk. Jeep also offers two sub-trim levels, Altitude and 80th Anniversary Edition, which add unique styling accents and even more features. Some of the features you'll notice on the Sport trim include halogen headlights, steel wheels, a lip-mounted rear spoiler, body-color bumpers, and heated power-adjustable side mirrors. The Latitude adds roof rails, automatic headlights, fog lights, keyless entry and ignition, and a set of alloy wheels.
The second most advanced variant in the lineup, the stylish Limited features integrated turn signal indicators in the side mirrors and chrome exterior accents. If you're looking for a model that can keep up with your adventures, check out the Trailhawk with standard elements like roof rack rails, underbody skid plates, front tow hooks, off-road tires, and a raised suspension. Upgrades for this trim include xenon headlights, a sunroof, and a power liftgate.
Engine (Power)
Your 2021 Jeep Compass will be powered by a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 175 pound-feet of torque and 180 horsepower. This powertrain works with a six-speed automatic transmission on front-wheel-drive models and a nine-speed automatic on all-wheel-drive models. FWD is standard on all trims except the Trailhawk, which comes standard with all-wheel drive. Jeep's AWD system is also available for the other three trim levels.
Performance
It's not surprising that the Compass handles well on all road conditions since Jeep is known for its rugged and capable vehicles. However, that's not all the Compass does well. This SUV also offers great handling and a comfortable ride on and off the trails. Its acceleration is also decent, going from zero to 60 mph in 10.1 seconds, making it one of the most versatile adventure-ready vehicles out there.
Interior
Each 2021 Jeep Compass Sport offers a cabin featuring automatic dual-zone climate control, first- and second-row USB ports, a 60/40 split-folding rear bench seat, a 7-inch touch screen, cloth upholstery, Android Auto/Apple CarPlay smartphone integration, and a six-speaker sound system. Stepping up to the Latitude trim adds a leather-wrapped steering wheel, satellite radio, and several option packages.
The Limited trim comes with a power-adjustable driver's seat, leather upholstery, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, an upgraded 8.4-inch touch screen, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. Although similar to the Limited's, the Trailhawk's cabin has a larger touch screen and a few more interior flourishes. You can also add a nine-speaker premium audio system and navigation as options.
Safety Features
All four trim levels of the 2021 Compass offer anti-lock brakes, stability and traction control, a rearview camera, air bags throughout both rows of seating, and a tire pressure monitoring system. The upscale Limited trim also includes lane-keep assist, blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, and forward collision warning with automatic braking.
