The 2021 Jeep Wrangler continues the lineage of this legendary marque. With four standard trim levels, eight limited edition packages, four powertrains, many roof options, and the flexibility of two or four doors, you can personalize your Jeep Wrangler to suit your personality.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
For 2021, the Jeep Wrangler is available in the following trims: Sport, Sport S, Sahara, Rubicon, Willys, Willys Sport, Islander, High Altitude, 80th Anniversary Edition, Freedom, Sport Altitude, and Sahara Altitude trim levels. With its iconic seven-slot grille and signature round headlights, the distinctive styling of the Wrangler is unmistakable. The removable doors and roof and the fold-down windshield let you enjoy a true wind-in-the-hair experience.
Jeep Wrangler's Sport trim offers a black soft top, fog lights, tow hooks, skid plates, and 17-inch steel wheels. The Sport S trim features power door locks, automatic headlights, alloy wheels, and heated power mirrors.
The Sahara trim is available only with four doors. It features distinctive daytime running lights, 18-inch wheels, and body-colored fender flares and trim. The Rubicon gets more rugged features, including a vented hood, steel bumpers, red tow hooks, rock rails, and 17-inch wheels with larger all-terrain tires.
Engine (Power)
All models come standard with a 3.6-liter V-6 engine, with or without the eTorque mild hybrid system. The engine delivers 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque via a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission.
You can opt for a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 270 horsepower and 295 pound-feet. Four-door models are also available with a 3.0-liter V-6 turbo-diesel engine generating 260 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque.
The 4xe plug-in hybrid powertrain is newly available for 2021 four-door Jeep Wrangler vehicles. A 2.0-liter turbo engine pairs with two electric motors to deliver 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. These three engines are matched with the eight-speed automatic transmission.
Performance
All Jeep Wrangler vehicles proudly wear the Trail Rated badge indicating their superb off-road prowess. Depending on the trim, you can select from among one of three 4x4 systems: Selec-Trac, Command-Trac, or Rock-Trac.
The Jeep Wrangler Rubicon takes off-road capability to another level with a 4-to-1 axle gear ratio, front and rear electronically locking differentials, heavy-duty Dana axles, and increased ground clearance. When properly equipped, the Jeep Wrangler has a maximum towing capacity of 3,500 pounds.
Interior
Jeep Wrangler Sport trims feature a push-button start, cloth upholstery, a tilt-and-telescoping steering column, cruise control, and two 12-volt power outlets. The infotainment system offers wireless phone connectivity, Bluetooth, voice command, a 5-inch touch screen, and an eight-speaker sound system. The Sport S trim adds air conditioning, power windows, and a leather-bound steering wheel.
Sahara and Rubicon trims offer model-specific cloth upholstery, dual-zone automatic temperature control, a 7-inch touch screen, smartphone integration, and a 115-volt power outlet. When parts of the great outdoors get inside, all models have a wash-out interior with removable carpet.
Safety Features
To keep you on track, the Jeep Wrangler's standard safety features include electronic stability control with anti-roll mitigation, traction control, and trailer-sway damping. A four-wheel anti-lock braking system with a hydraulic assist brake booster provides confident stopping power.
The available Safety Group includes blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-path detection, and rear parking sensors. In addition, the Advanced Safety Group adds adaptive cruise control with stop and go, full-speed forward collision warning, and automatic high beams.
