Trim Levels (Exterior)
RAM offers six trim levels with 2021 2500, allowing you to truly customize your truck. The base model is the Tradesman, which features black front and rear bumpers, active grille shutters, and 17-inch steel wheels. The Bighorn adds a little more flair to the exterior with a chrome grille and 18-inch chrome wheels. The mid-range trim is the Power Wagon which features powder-coated front and rear bumpers and 17-inch matte black diamond-cut aluminum wheels. You will find the Limited Longhorn in the upper trims, which offers available power running boards and two-tone exterior paint and wheels. The top trim is the Limited featuring a center stop lamp with cargo-view and 20-inch carbon/chrome insert wheels.
Engine (Power)
You will have two options when it comes to engine choice on your RAM 2500. The standard engine option is a 6.4-liter heavy-duty Hemi V-8 that outputs 410 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque. The optional engine available is a 6.7-liter I6 Cummins turbo diesel engine which outputs 370 horsepower.
Performance
When it comes to the new 2021 RAM 2500, it's all about power. When equipped with the turbo diesel engine, you will enjoy an impressive 19,680 lbs towing capacity and a maximum payload capacity of 4,010 lbs, if equipped with the standard Hemi. Towing is even easier when you opt for features such as the 360-degree surround-view camera and Trailer Camera Prep. The vehicle also features a Class-Exclusive available Auto-level Rear Air suspension, complete with a bed lowering mode to allow for easier towing hook up. Gas-charged monotube shocks, front and rear locking differentials, an electronic front sway bar all work together to provide you with added stability when traversing rough terrain.
Interior
Most of the RAM 2500's technology is powered by an infotainment system with an 8.0-inch touchscreen that features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to help you stay connected with your phone while remaining hands-free. You can also opt for the subscription-based Wi-Fi hotspot, which allows you to stream music and use your phone's navigation without burning through data. Upper trim levels feature added comfort to seating with bucket seats and premium mountain brown leather. You can also upgrade your sound at this level by adding on a 900-watt Harman Kardon Premium Audio system with 17 speakers.
Safety Features
The new 2500 is equipped with several driver assistance features that can help to reduce the risk of you getting into an accident. All of the assistance features are available as options on any of the trim levels. Drivers can choose from forward collision warning with automated braking, blind spot monitoring with rear cross traffic alerts, adaptive cruise control, adaptive forward lighting, and park sense.
