2021 RAM 3500
When only the largest and most powerful truck will do, it is time to look at the 2021 RAM 3500. The vehicle is ideal for those looking for the power and performance of a full-size truck while still enjoying a comfortable ride.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
There are five trim levels to choose from when picking out your 2021 RAM 3500. The base Tradesman trim features a black front and rear bumper and pickup cargo box light. The Bighorn brings a little extra style with a black and chrome grille, 18-inch chrome wheels, and chrome bumpers.
The mid-range Laramie is stylish and practical in equal measure. It includes a damped tailgate and chrome heated power-folding trailer mirrors. The Limited Longhorn offers additional style options such as two-tone exterior paint and a 360-degree surround-view camera. The top trim is the Limited, which includes features like power running boards and 20-inch satin-carbon/chrome insert wheels.
Engine (Power)
You can customize the power on your new RAM 3500 by choosing from one of three engine choices. One option is a 6.7-liter high-output Cummins I-6 engine that outputs an impressive 420 horsepower. The remaining two powertrains are a 6.7-liter Cummins turbo diesel and a 6.4-liter Hemi V8 that supplies 370 horsepower and 410 horsepower, respectively.
Performance
Built to be a workhorse, the 3500 has a payload capacity of 7,680 pounds and 37,100 pounds towing capacity when equipped with the V8 Hemi. Towing is a breeze when you opt for additional features such as the power-fold tow mirrors and surround-view camera with Trailer Reverse Guidance. The vehicle also gains a trailer monitoring system, which will provide you with live pressure readings on up to four different trailers.
Interior
The cabin of the RAM 3500 is brimming with the latest technology, including a digital rearview mirror that shows you a clear picture of the road behind you. The truck also comes with the UConnect system, which allows you to control all your vehicle's technology from one platform. Take interior convenience up a notch with upgrades like a 12-inch touch screen featuring a split-screen home screen.
All trim levels feature Android Auto and Apple CarPlay so you can stay connected to your smart devices while keeping your hands on the wheel. While the standard sound system is good enough for most drivers, true audiophiles will appreciate the available sound enhancements. So, for a refined sound, opt for a 900-Watt Harman Kardon Premium Audio System with 17-speakers. As the top-rated trim, the Limited maximizes comfort in the cabin with 100% leather seats and real wood and aluminum cabin accents.
Safety Features
Safety is a priority at RAM, and that's why their trucks boast excellent safety setups. The 2021 RAM 3500 is no exception, as it tacks on several standard and available safety features. One of our favorites is the class-exclusive Adaptive Forward Lighting System, which turns the headlights up to 15 degrees to improve nighttime vision. Other popular safety options include the forward collision warning with active braking, adaptive cruise control, LanseSense lane departure warning system, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-path detection.
