Trim Levels (Exterior)
When you look at the Challenger, there's no mistaking it for anything else but a muscle car. This is especially so if you opt for the Dodge Challenger Widebody package, which provides the classic heritage-inspired shape. The Challenger is available in eye-catching exterior colors such as Frostbite, Hellraisin, Go Mango, and Octave Red Pearlcoat. You can also customize the look of your Challenger with available aesthetic upgrades such as a Black Satin hood or a Blacktop Stripe. You can choose from five main trim levels: the SXT, GT, R/T, R/T Scat Pack, and SRT Hellcat. However, you can upgrade with various available packages. Standard exterior features include 18-inch aluminum wheels, power-adjustable and heated side mirrors, automatic projector headlights, and a rear spoiler. Higher trims add multiple performance features, such as a performance hood with a functional hood scoop, an electronically controlled active exhaust, and Nitto street-legal drag racing tires.
Engine (Power)
Numerous powerful engines are offered with the Challenger. The base 3.6-liter V-6 engine generates 303 horsepower and 268 pound-feet of torque, while an available 5.7-liter V-8 engine produces 372 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. The R/T Scat Pack is powered by a 6.4-liter V-8 engine with an output of 485 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque, while the SRT Hellcat benefits from a 6.2-liter V-8 engine that produces 717 horsepower and 656 pound-feet of torque. With the SRT Hellcat Redeye, you receive an upgraded version of the 6.2-liter V-8 engine, which generates a massive output of 797 horsepower and 707 pound-feet of torque. An even beefier version of the 6.2-liter V-8 engine, which kicks out an awe-inspiring 807 horsepower and 707 pound-feet of torque, powers the SRT Super Stock model.
Performance
As can be expected, the Challenger is equipped with impressive performance features. With the Line Lock system, you can heat up and clear the rear tires for an improved launch, while the Launch Control system provides straight-line acceleration. Once the race is over and the engine shuts down, the Race Cooldown system lowers the supercharger air cooler temperature.
Interior
With the Challenger, you receive a roomy interior. Plenty of head- and legroom is provided in both rows and the trunk offers 16.2 cubic feet of space, which is excellent for this class. The standard 7-inch infotainment system is easy to use and offers Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, Bluetooth, USB ports, and six speakers. Other standard features include cloth upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a power-adjustable driver's seat. You can upgrade the cabin with optional features such as an 18-speaker Harman Kardon surround-sound stereo system, navigation, heated and ventilated front seats, and Nappa leather upholstery.
Safety Features
The Challenger can be equipped with various available driver-assist systems such as blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, and forward-collision warning.
