2022 Jeep Gladiator
Jeep's foray into the pickup genre continues for the 2022 model year. If you want a vehicle that is made to explore and take you where adventure calls, here's what people love about the 2022 Jeep Gladiator.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2022 Jeep Gladiator is offered in nine trim levels: Sport, Willys Sport, Sport S, Altitude, Willys, Overland, Rubicon, Mojave, and High Altitude. Across these trims are a smattering of tops you can choose from, such as a Sunrider hardtop flip top, a Black Freedom Top hardtop, a zipperless Sunrider soft top, or a body-color hardtop. If you intend to tackle some rough terrain, opt for the optional Corning Gorilla glass windshield to help prevent breakage.
The base Sport trim offers 17-inch black aluminum wheels, a three-position tailgate, and removable doors. Meanwhile, the Sport S adds power mirrors, body-color fender flares, and either Tech-Silver or Gloss Black wheels. Moving up to the Rubicon gives you polished black or Granite Crystal wheels wrapped in 33-inch all-terrain tires and exclusive badging. Optional exterior features include a spray-in bed liner, a tonneau cover, and a fold-down windshield.
Engine (Power)
Two engines are offered for the 2022 Jeep Gladiator. First up is a 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine putting out 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, and features stop/start technology to improve fuel economy. The other engine is a heavier-duty 3.0-liter Ecodiesel V-6 engine putting out 260 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque and will get a relatively efficient EPA-estimated 28 mpg on the highway.
Performance
Whether you head down the highway or well off the beaten path, the trail-rated Gladiator is up for the challenge. With ample towing capacity, 6,500 pounds for the EcoDiesel and 7,650 pounds for the 3.6-liter, you can haul your ATV, boat, camper, or whatever you need for your next adventure. If that adventure takes you off-road, the Gladiator has you covered with front and rear tow hooks, front and rear Tru-Lock electronic locking differentials, sway bar disconnect, and FOX performance shocks. Four-wheel drive is also offered, and with the different options, you can handle snow, mud, or whatever else you may encounter.
Interior
Get behind the wheel of the 2022 Jeep Gladiator, and you find yourself surrounded by comfort, technology, and convenience. The flexible, foldable seating is standard to adjust the cabin configuration to allow more room for gear, passengers, or somewhere in between. To keep rocking after arriving at a destination, you can grab the removable waterproof Bluetooth speaker and keep the music going. You can also opt for available interior features such as a heated steering wheel, heated front seats, and a remote start to warm you up in the winter. In addition, you will find innovative features such as a standard Uconnect system with phone connectivity, an available Wi-Fi hot spot, and available navigation.
Safety Features
Jeep takes safety very seriously, as evidenced by the over 80 standard and optional safety and security features included with the 2022 Gladiator. Among the available options are a blind-spot monitoring system, adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning with active braking, and rear cross-path detection. If a collision does happen, you'll be protected by the high-strength steel frame and advanced air bag system.
