2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee

The new Jeep Grand Cherokee receives a new front end with a more elegant grille and slimmer LED headlights. You can choose from sophisticated paint options such as Ember Pearlcoat, Hydro Blue Pearlcoat, and Midnight Sky. The SUV is available in five trim levels: the Laredo, Limited, Trailhawk, Overland, and Summit. Two special-edition models, the Altitude and Summit Reserve, are also available. In addition, a hybrid model is offered on the Limited trim and up. With the Laredo trim, you receive 17-inch aluminum wheels, roof rails, LED exterior lighting, automatic headlights, and heated mirrors with turn-signal indicators. The Limited trim adds automatic wipers, mirrors with memory settings, a power liftgate, 18-inch aluminum wheels, and LED fog lights. Apart from 18-inch polished aluminum wheels, the off-road-focused Trailhawk trim comes with skid plates, red tow hooks, all-terrain tires, and a single-pane power sunroof. The Overland trim features front tow hooks, auto-dimming side mirrors, a hands-free liftgate, 20-inch aluminum wheels, and a dual-pane panoramic sunroof. With the Summit trim, you receive a Gloss Black roof and chrome accents.

You can choose from three capable powertrains with the Grand Cherokee. The base 3.6-liter V-6 engine generates 293 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, while an optional 5.7-liter V-8 engine produces a spirited output of 357 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque. The new hybrid powertrain consists of a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and an electric motor, which provide a combined 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission comes standard across the board. Rear-wheel drive comes standard and four-wheel drive is available, except for the Trailhawk trim that features only a four-wheel-drive system.

The Grand Cherokee comes with three available four-wheel-drive systems and also an available Selec-Terrain Traction Management system, which provides five different modes: Auto, Sport, Rock, Snow, and Mud/Sand. You can also opt for an available Electronic Semi-Active Damping system, which automatically lowers the SUV for improved aerodynamics when driving at higher speeds on the highway.

The cabin of the Grand Cherokee receives upgraded styling for the new model year, which includes a newly designed steering wheel and premium materials, such as available real wood and rich leather. You also receive modern technology, such as a standard 8.4-inch infotainment system that offers wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, Bluetooth, six USB ports, and a 4G LTE hot spot. Other standard features include a power-adjustable driver's seat, keyless entry, dual-zone automatic climate control, and cloth upholstery. Higher trims offer a newly available passenger screen and a rear-seat entertainment system with available built-in Amazon Fire TV. Depending on the trim, the cabin may also feature a wireless charging pad, leather upholstery, and a 10-inch full-color head-up display.

Standard safety gear provided with the Grand Cherokee includes active lane management, forward-collision warning, blind-spot and cross-path detection, and a rearview camera. You can also opt for available systems such as intersection collision warning, a surround-view camera, active driving assist, and night vision.
