2022 RAM 1500

Like its predecessors, the 2022 Ram 1500 is available as either a crew cab or a quad cab, and you can also choose between a standard and a short bed. Eight trim levels are offered: the Tradesman, Tradesman HFE, Big Horn, Laramie, Rebel, Limited Longhorn, Limited, and TRX. Several special-edition models are also provided, such as the G/T Edition, which is equipped with a unique exhaust system, a cold-air intake, and paddle shifters. With the base trim, standard features include 18-inch steel wheels, power-adjustable and heated mirrors, automatic headlamps, and active grille shutters. The Tradesman HFE comes with 20-inch aluminum wheels, a Mopar roll-up tonneau cover, wheel-to-wheel side steps, and new trailer hitch lights. Fog lights and 18-inch aluminum wheels are featured with the Big Horn trim, while the Laramie trim comes with LED exterior lighting and power-folding mirrors with memory and supplemental signals. With the Rebel trim, you can expect a sport performance hood, 33-inch multi-terrain tires, a locking rear axle, and off-road fender flares. Apart from 20-inch aluminum wheels, the Limited Longhorn trim features front tow hooks, a dual rear exhaust with bright tips, and a spray-in bed liner. The Limited trim is equipped with power running boards and a four-corner air suspension, while the TRX trim comes with a hood "Black-Out" decal, a black powder-coated front bumper, and a performance hood.

Four robust powertrains are offered with the Ram 1500. The standard 3.6-liter V-6 engine delivers 305 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque, while an available 5.7-liter V-8 engine generates 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. With the TRX, you receive a supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 engine that kicks out 702 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque. A 3.0-liter V-6 diesel engine that generates 260 horsepower and 480 pound-feet of torque is also available. All engines pair with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The Ram 1500 features a 98% high-strength steel frame, which makes for durable performance and strong towing and hauling capability. When properly configured, the truck provides a maximum payload of 2,300 pounds and a maximum towing capacity of 12,750 pounds.

The cabin of the Ram 1500 is stylish and fitted with quality materials, especially in higher trims. In addition, passengers receive ample space in both rows, with crew-cab models offering the most room. Although the standard infotainment system is a bit sparsely equipped, the available 8.4-inch infotainment system offers Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration and an Alpine nine-speaker premium audio system. Depending on the trim you opt for, the Ram 1500's cabin comes with premium features. These may include heated and ventilated front seats, leather upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and heated second-row seats.
