Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2023 Grand Wagoneer lineup consists of five trim levels, starting with the base trim, which is simply called Grand Wagoneer. This starter model announces its arrival with a distinctive front fascia and features a black roof with a glossy finish and a beautifully sculpted rear fascia. The Series II adds Luster-Gray-accented wheels measuring 22 inches, while the Obsidian has a Black Onyx grille, roof rack, and badges. You'll also notice premium tinted glass. The Series III sits atop 22-inch wheels with Lights Out pockets, and the Series III Obsidian pairs these wheels with Black Onyx fixtures.
Engine (Power)
Pop open the Grand Wagoneer's hood, and you'll find a 471-horsepower, 6.4-liter V-8 engine that generates 455 pound-feet of torque. This impressive output gives the Grand Wagoneer a class-leading towing capacity of 9,850 pounds. Upper trims get a 501-horsepower, 3.0-liter Hurricane Twin Turbo engine that puts out 500 pound-feet of torque. Upper trim levels can tow up to 9,750 pounds.
Performance
Both Grand Wagoneer engines pair with an eight-speed automatic transmission to ensure you enjoy smooth acceleration and straightforward handling. A Quadra-Drive II four-wheel-drive system and a Selec-Terrain Traction Management System help the Grand Wagoneer take on wet roads, rocky terrain, and other unstable surfaces. When you need even more torque, the Grand Wagoneer's active two-speed transfer case automatically shifts between two low-end power options. A Selec-Speed Control optimizes performance when driving up or down inclines.
Interior
The Grand Wagoneer seats seven, with the base trim letting you take advantage of heated and ventilated leather-trimmed front seats with 24-way adjustability and massage settings. You'll also find a 12.3-inch digital driver information cluster, a 12.0-inch infotainment touchscreen, and a 19-speaker audio system. The Series II adds a digital rearview mirror, and you can add a rear-seat monitoring camera, while the Series III comes with a class-exclusive front-passenger interactive display. Obsidian models feature a brand-new Dark Onyx chiseled metal aluminum dash trim. The Series III Obsidian also lets you add your choice of a Blue Agave, Tupelo/Black, or Global Black interior.
Safety Features
With the 2023 Grand Wagoneer, you get a full-speed forward collision warning that uses radar sensors to help detect if your Grand Wagoneer gets too close to other vehicles. The system will issue an audible alert and apply the brakes if you can't respond in time. An active lane management system reads the road to monitor your position to make sure your Grand Wagoneer stays in its lane. A 360-degree surround-view camera and an automated parking system help you squeeze in and out of tight spaces. You can also equip your Grand Wagoneer with advanced features like a night-vision camera, intersection collision assist, and drowsy driver detection.
