4 Favorite Italian Restaurants in and Around Odessa, TX

Mi Piaci Italian

Located at 2607 N. Grandview Ave, this lovely spot opens daily at 11 am. They close at 9 every day but Sunday, when they close at 8:30. And as for food: pizza is the real winner here. At lunch, it gets really busy with people grabbing a slice of their meat lovers’, florentino, or other delights. But there’s other great food, too.

If you’re not just grabbing a slice and dashing, stop and try the fresh mozzarella caprese salad. The stuffed mushrooms are also amazing, and their bread with the oil dipping sauce is not to be missed. The salads are all good, but do yourself a favor and try their pasta sampler sometime. We also love the chicken verona and the steak ribeye Mi Piaci.

Ray’s Italian Bistro

At 2300 W. Wadley Ave in Midland, Ray’s is open Tue through Sun. They open at 11 am and close at 10 pm every day but Sunday, when they close at 9 pm. Don’t let the strip mall location put you off. This is a great place for your Italian fix.

It’s the flavor that keeps people coming back. You can taste everything in your dish, and it’s all perfectly balanced. The service is careful and friendly, too. Try the baked lasagna al Forno, the capellini pomodoro, the lobster ravioli, or the mixed seafood tutto mare for a real treat. Be sure to top it off with a cannoli for dessert!

Luigi’s

Head to 111 N Big Spring St in Midland to try the food at Luigi’s. Luigi’s is open for lunch from 11 am until 2:30 pm and for dinner from 5 pm to 9 pm, Monday through Friday. On Saturday, they are open only for dinner.

It’s a bit tricky to park here, so leave yourself some time. but it’s definitely worth it: the food is excellent, the ambiance is relaxed, portions are generous, and servers are thoughtful. We definitely suggest trying the pizza here, especially if you have a group. However, the pastas are all delicious too, and the seasonal spaghetti with chili is a special favorite.

Italian Village

Our final choice has to be Italian Village, over on 3211 W. Wadley Ave in Midland. They’re open from 11 am until 9:30 pm during the week. On Saturday they don’t open until 4 pm, so be aware. This place has all the old-world charm you’re looking for in an Italian place.

Try one of their fantastic imported wines, but please drink responsibly and never drink and drive. The cannelloni is amazing, the crab-stuffed flounder, and their freshly baked bread with the garlic oil dip. The friend calamari tastes amazing here.
