Step back in time when outdoor drive-in theaters were the rage when you plan a date night at the Big Sky Theatre. Watch the latest Hollywood has to offer on the big screen from the comfort of your vehicle or sitting on a blanket or in a lawn chair situated outside your car.

Before the movie starts or during intermission, make your way to the concession stand for a variety of tasty menu items. Choose a whole pizza, assorted sandwiches, chicken wings, steak fingers, chicken, or shrimp box dinners, and specialties such as corn dogs, cheese fries, jalapeno poppers, funnel cake, and more. The Globe Theater

A popular destination is the Globe Theater located at Odessa College is an exact replica of Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre that was originally built in 1599 in London along the banks of the Thames. The original U.K. theater burned to the ground in 1613 and was rebuilt. The theater’s motto is “the whole world is a playhouse,” which was later rephrased to “All the world’s a stage.”

The only differences from the original are the Odessa theater has a roof versus being an open-air theater, and there is central heat and air. Otherwise, when you step inside, it’s like going back in time.

The Odessa theater offers performances of Shakespeare’s plays by students throughout the year as well as concerts. The atmosphere of the theater is mesmerizing as you absorb the authenticity and the theater’s attention to the original architecture. Tours of the theater and the Anne Hathaway House – Shakespeare’s wife – are also available.
