This charming eatery embodies quintessential small-town America, and we hope that it never changes because it’s difficult to find a better burger joint in west Texas.
Whitehouse Meat Market
No list of fantastic burgers would be complete without Whitehouse Meat Market. This fine establishment has been a fixture in the Permian Basin since 1956 and is continually voted as having the best burger in the basin. Just make sure you order a side of their spicy fries. You’ll never taste a better burger and fries combo than at Whitehouse.
What also sets Whitehouse ahead of its competition is that it functions as a meat market, as well as a restaurant. A full-service meat counter and a full-time butcher are on hand to provide choice cuts of meat that will keep you satisfied well into the future.
Permian Basin Hamburger Company
Considered by many to have the best burgers in town, the Permian Basin Hamburger Company does not disappoint. Their chili cheeseburger is one of our favorites. Couple it with their freshly made fries and you’ll have a great meal. The homey atmosphere and friendly waitstaff will make you feel right at home. Keep in mind that the Permian Basin Hamburger Company is only open on weekdays for lunch, so you’ll have to search elsewhere if you’re in the mood for a burger at dinnertime or on the weekend.
