2021 Dodge Challenger

If you’re looking for a sports car with advanced features and exciting performance, consider the 2021 Dodge Charger or Challenger. The Charger sedan has a modern look, and the Challenger coupe has a bold, classic style. Here’s some more information about the differences between these popular vehicles.

Exterior

Both cars have low profiles, Dodge lettering on the back, and attractive black upper and lower grilles. The 2021 Charger has narrow LED headlights and matching LED taillights that go across the trunk for a unique appearance. You’ll also get 17-inch wheels, a dual exhaust, acoustic glass for a quiet ride, and manual folding side mirrors. Choose 20-inch wheels, a power sunroof, a hood scoop, air extractors to vent heat from the engine, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and orange, gunmetal, or red brake calipers. Heated power side mirrors with memory settings are available as well.

The Challenger’s round headlights give it a more retro look. It comes with 18-inch wheels, a dual exhaust, narrow taillights, and manual folding, power heated side mirrors. You can add 20-inch wheels, a unique black hood, a black roof, and racing stripes. You can also choose a single hood scoop or twin scoops. The R/T Shaker and R/T Scat Pack Shaker trim levels have dual air intakes on the top of a raised engine and a hole in the hood to make room for them.

Interior

The Charger’s interior has a retro look and plenty of modern features. It has a 7-inch touch screen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, an eight-way power driver’s seat, and SiriusXM satellite radio. You’ll also get foldable rear seats, keyless entry, push-button start, and dual-zone climate control. You can select an 8.4-inch touch screen; paddle shifters for the power-adjustable, heated, leather-wrapped steering wheel; and street, sport, and track driving modes. Choose from normal, comfort, or sport steering modes as well.

The inside of the 2021 Challenger is slightly sleeker than the Charger, but it still has a classic feel. It comes with a 7-inch touch screen, speed-sensitive volume control, foldable rear seats, a 10-way power driver’s seat, keyless entry, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and dual-zone climate control. Additional options include a 900-watt 18-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, an 8.4-inch touch screen, and a universal garage door opener.

Performance

The Charger is the only four-door muscle car that’s available with all-wheel drive, and you can choose from several powerful engines. It comes with a sport-tuned suspension, high-performance shocks, and an eight-speed automatic transmission. The SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody trim has a 6.2-liter V-8 that produces 797 horsepower and 707 pound-feet of torque.

The 2021 Challenger has most of the same engine options as the Charger, including the 6.2-liter V-8 engine. There’s an option to add an active exhaust system that amplifies the sound of the engine, in addition to electronic stability control with full-on, full off, and partial off modes to adjust steering responsiveness. You can choose between an eight-speed automatic transmission or a six-speed manual transmission.
