There is one last item on your chore list today: grab some dinner at one of these fabulous Asian restaurants here in Odessa, TX. Stop by one of these spots in your Jeep Cherokee on the way home from work and surprise the family with a delicious meal.
Osaka Japanese Steakhouse
This spot is at 4020 Faudree Rd. and opens at 11 AM from Monday through Friday. They close at 2 PM for the lunch service and open up again for dinner from 5 to 9 PM. On Friday nights, they stay open an extra hour till 10 PM. On Saturday they are open all day from noon to 10 PM, and on Sunday, their hours are noon to 9 PM.
For your appetizer, be sure to try the delicious fried zucchini or the yellowtail jalapeño, which is delicious sashimi with ponzu sauce and jalapeño and cilantro garnish. Their teppanyaki dinners are great and come with soup, a choice of salads, vegetables, and steamed rice. We are particularly fond of the sweet chili salmon.
Pho&More
This no-nonsense, but absolutely delicious, pho place is at 4023 John Ben Shepperd Parkway. They are open every day but Sunday from 10:30 AM until 9 PM.
As you can imagine, the main thing here is the pho. We highly recommend their spicy beef and the grilled pork, and they also have great boba tea choices. They also serve a delicious flat iron ribeye steak, and a crispy Vietnamese pancake stuffed with shrimp and pork belly that you will not ever want to stop eating.
Volcano
Volcano has it all, but the sushi bar is what really stands out here. You’ll find them in the Santa Fe Square at 3952 E. 42nd St. They are open from 11 AM until 9:30 PM Monday through Friday, from 11 AM until 10 PM on Saturday, and from 11 AM until 9 PM on Sunday.
Be sure to try their sushi or sashimi, their special rolls, and the rice and noodle dishes. The pan-fried noodles and the Singapore mei fun are especially delicious.
The House of Sizzlers
If you’re a fan of Filipino cuisine, or if you’ve just never tried it, you need to head over to the spot in the Rock Hill Shopping Center at 1351 E 9th St. They are closed on Sunday, and on Monday they are open only for dinner from 4 to 9 PM. The rest of the week, they open for lunch from 11 AM to 2 PM and for dinner from 4 PM to 9 PM.
