An escape room is a game where you and a group of people are locked in a room for up to an hour and the goal is to find hidden clues, solve puzzles, and unravel riddles to get yourselves out of the room. Make plans to experience escape rooms in Odessa with your friends or family at one of these spots.Puzzles in Odessa

Cinergy Entertainment Complex

Grab a group of friends, family, or even co-workers, and put your puzzle-solving skills to the test at Cinergy in nearby Midland. Cinergy Entertainment Complex offers bowling, movies, arcades, billiards, laser tag, and escape rooms, so your group can make an entire day of it. There are currently three escape rooms, Diamond Heist, Zombie Hour, and Haunting. Each of the rooms at Cinergy is at a different level, so you can pick how challenging you want your experience. The four levels of difficulty are Easy-Peasy, You’ve Got This, Hardcore, and Extreme.

With room for up to eight players in each room, you can divide and conquer to solve your way out. Cinergy complex hours are Tuesday through Thursday from 4 to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from noon to midnight, and Sunday from noon to 11 p.m. Escape rooms need to be booked in advance, and each room has two to three-time slots available on Thursday through Sunday only. These rooms book quickly, so you’ll want to gather up your puzzle people and book early.

Mystery Chamber – Escape the Room

Another great place to challenge your riddle skills is the Mystery Chamber – Escape the Room, also in Midland. Once again, you’ll have 60 minutes to work as a team to solve puzzles and riddles and find clues to escape their horrifying scenarios. The three rooms currently available are Cash Envy, Last Chance, and The Royal Quest. Mystery Chamber ranks their levels with one to four keys to signify difficulty and also ranks their level of scariness for each room.

Escape rooms at the Mystery Chamber are designed for two to six players, so you don’t get to have quite as many minds working together to solve the room and get you all out of there. Mystery Chamber also shares the success rate on each room, allowing you to see just how many groups have escaped the scenario in under an hour.

Code Breakers Escape & Puzzle Rooms

If you’ve got a large group, you can check out Code Breakers, as some of their rooms can accommodate groups of up to 16 people. They typically have four rooms, El Cazador Shipwrecked, THE HEIST, Arklay Manor, and Insanity to challenge your brains. Rooms are ranked for difficulty, and a scare meter is provided as well, so you know more about what you’re getting yourself into for each scenario.

Escape rooms are great for family fun, team building for the group from work, or even as a date night activity just for you and that special someone. Spend time solving puzzles, locating clues, and thinking through riddles to attempt an escape within the hour.
