If you are a nature lover and you want to have a wonderful time engaging with the great outdoors, then Carlsbad Caverns located two and a half hours away from Odessa is a great destination for you. It has been aptly dubbed “Beauty and Wonder,” and  “Above and Below” owing to the high ancient sea ledges, deep rocky canyons, flowering cactus, and desert wildlife-treasures of the Chihuahuan Desert.

The destination has more than 119 caves that were formed from dissolved limestone in sulfuric acid, leaving behind diverse caverns sizes. It has a wonderful history behind it, and your guide at the par will be able to tell you the rich history behind the park. The entrance fee is $15 per person (ages 16 and older) and free for younger guests. However, entrance is free with National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Passes.

Cantera Resort & Spa

However, if the great outdoors is not your thing, a little further away from Carlsbad Caverns is La Cantera Resort & Spa. This is a resort located about five hours drive away from Odessa in the Hill Country in San Antonio. The resort offers a wonderful mix of both business and pleasure. Here you can have your business meetings while being able to sit back, relaxing, and playing the state-of-the-art golf course with 36 holes of championship golf designed to challenge your skill from tee to green.
