Diamond Lanes
At 2208 E 8th St, Diamond Lanes is renowned in our area for being clean and friendly. It’s a perfect spot to bring the family, too, and you can expect excellent service from the staff. They open at 10 AM every day but Sunday, when they open at 1 PM. Their closing hours vary by the day, so you might give them a ring if you’re planning to be there late just to make sure you have your times right.
There’s good pizza here, plenty of drinks for the kids, as well as some adult beverages, and prices are quite reasonable. If you do enjoy a few beers here, please drink responsibly and never drink and drive. Be aware that this place charges by the hour, not by the game, which will be good for some folks who like to bowl quickly but can catch out some families with kids who bowl more slowly. It gets pretty crowded here on a Friday night, so come early.
Cinergy Odessa
Yes, this is a movie theater, but they also have a great bowling alley with a state-of-the-art scoring system and bumpers for the youngsters. You can reserve your lanes only at the alley desk, however, as they don’t allow online reservations. One of the fun things they have here is something they call Hyperbowling. They put lights on the bumpers that create moving targets, and your goal is to hit the pins without hitting the lights. You can ramp this up to make the challenge as difficult or easy as you want.
They are located at 8250 East Highway 191 and are open from 11 AM until 11 PM Monday through Thursday, and until 1 AM on Friday. On Saturday and Sunday, they open at 10 AM. There’s plenty to do here besides bowl, so it’s a good place to take the whole family if everyone wants to do something different.
