Having any issues with your vehicle when shifting into drive or putting it in drive? You may be experiencing transmission issues, something your Chrysler dealer can help you out with. Here are some of the common signs that you need transmission repair so you know what to look out for.
1. You Detect a Burning Smell from the Vehicle
Your nose might give you the first indication of a problem with your transmission. If you pick up on a burning smell while you’re driving, it is possible that your transmission is overheating. Take your vehicle in for service immediately to get that problem addressed so it doesn’t grow more severe.
2. Vehicle Makes Odd Noises in Neutral
Since you’re more familiar with your vehicle than anybody else, you’ll likely notice when strange noises that weren’t present before can be heard while the vehicle is sat in neutral. This could be an indication that you need your transmission fluid replaced, or it could point to a more serious issue with the transmission.
3. Can’t Shift into Drive or Between Gears
If your transmission isn’t working correctly, your vehicle may be unresponsive when you try to put it into drive or change gears. In this instance, you’ll need to get transmission service to bring your vehicle back into working order before going out on the road.
4. Slipping Through Gears Abruptly
One potentially dangerous situation that might arise from a faulty transmission is your vehicle changing gears without you prompting it to do so. You’ll notice this happening when your engine starts revving more than usual and you lose traction. Avoid this dangerous situation by keeping your transmission well-maintained.
5. Grinding or Shaking When Changing Gears
When your transmission is working correctly, the transition from one gear to the next should be smooth and effortless. If it feels instead like the vehicle is lurching and vibrating when changing gears, you likely have an issue with your transmission. Restore the smooth ride you want by getting your transmission serviced.
6. Transmission Fluid is Leaking
You might notice a red, sweet-smelling liquid pooling beneath your vehicle after it has been sat in one place for a while. This is a sign that your transmission is leaking the fluid it needs to operate properly. Bring your vehicle in for service so the leak can be patched up and no further issues arise.
7. Check Engine Light Activated
Sometimes, your vehicle seems to be running right, but the check engine light comes on anyway. This can be frustrating, but you should never ignore this warning light even when it seems like no problem is present. It could be a sign of a transmission issue or any number of other problems, so bring your vehicle in for service to figure out the cause.
Our service experts can take care of your transmission and any other concerns you might have with your vehicle. Visit All American Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram of Odessa today!

5 Benefits of Getting a Tire Rotation
Unless it’s time for an oil change, you may not think about getting your tires rotated. However, rotating your tires is an essential part of car care, and it offers many benefits that you should know about. Check out these benefits of getting a tire rotation at your neighborhood Chrysler dealer in Odessa, TX.
5 Benefits of Getting a Tire Rotation at Your Chrysler Dealer in Odessa, TX
1. Reduces Uneven Wear
The first benefit of rotating your tires is that it reduces uneven wear on the tires. Certain areas on your tires wear out faster than others: typically the front faster than the back. Tires are moved from one area of the vehicle to another to balance wear and tear.
Tires that are rotated tend to have a smoother ride and last longer. Tires that are not rotated are more likely to develop vibrations and noises and have cracks and blowouts.
2. Fuel Efficiency
Another benefit of rotation is that it increases your car’s fuel efficiency. When the tires are rotated, it distributes the vehicle’s weight more evenly. Better balance means there isn’t as much stress on the tires, reducing rolling resistance and improving gas mileage.
3. Better Vehicle Performance
Rotating your tires also improves the car’s performance. There is less stress on the drivetrain, leading to a longer life for the rest of the engine’s components. With better traction, your vehicle will ride smoother, especially on uneven roads and during inclement weather.
Rotating your tires enhances the steering and handling of your vehicle. All four tires will grip the road surface evenly, resulting in better control while driving.
4. Extends Tire Life
Rotating your tires helps to keep them in good condition for longer. By evenly distributing the wear and tear, you’re less likely to experience a blowout or other tire-related issue. Tires that are not rotated frequently develop uneven wear, leading to premature failure.
Rotating your tires allows you to get more miles out of them, which can save you time and money. Rotating your tires every few months will help prevent tire-related accidents and extend the life of your tires.
5. Improves Vehicle Safety
One of the most important reasons to rotate your tires is that it improves vehicle safety. Tires that are not rotated regularly can lose traction and increase stopping distances, leading to an accident or injury. Rotating your tires ensures even wear across all four wheels, so there’s less chance of skidding on slippery roads during bad weather conditions.
Rotating your tires also reduces the chance that you’ll have a blowout. When you rotate your tires regularly, you preserve tire tread, and a thicker tread is safer on the road. Thinner treads are more prone to blowouts, especially at high speeds.
It’s important to remember that rotating your tires can save money in the long run. By rotating regularly, you can improve fuel efficiency, reduce uneven wear, and extend the life of your tires. Not only that, but you’ll also enjoy better vehicle performance and safety. So don’t wait: schedule a service appointment at All American Chrysler Jeep Dodge Odessa today.

4 Favorite Italian Restaurants in and Around Odessa, TX
Mi Piaci Italian
Located at 2607 N. Grandview Ave, this lovely spot opens daily at 11 am. They close at 9 every day but Sunday, when they close at 8:30. And as for food: pizza is the real winner here. At lunch, it gets really busy with people grabbing a slice of their meat lovers’, florentino, or other delights. But there’s other great food, too.
If you’re not just grabbing a slice and dashing, stop and try the fresh mozzarella caprese salad. The stuffed mushrooms are also amazing, and their bread with the oil dipping sauce is not to be missed. The salads are all good, but do yourself a favor and try their pasta sampler sometime. We also love the chicken verona and the steak ribeye Mi Piaci.
Ray’s Italian Bistro
At 2300 W. Wadley Ave in Midland, Ray’s is open Tue through Sun. They open at 11 am and close at 10 pm every day but Sunday, when they close at 9 pm. Don’t let the strip mall location put you off. This is a great place for your Italian fix.
It’s the flavor that keeps people coming back. You can taste everything in your dish, and it’s all perfectly balanced. The service is careful and friendly, too. Try the baked lasagna al Forno, the capellini pomodoro, the lobster ravioli, or the mixed seafood tutto mare for a real treat. Be sure to top it off with a cannoli for dessert!
Luigi’s
Head to 111 N Big Spring St in Midland to try the food at Luigi’s. Luigi’s is open for lunch from 11 am until 2:30 pm and for dinner from 5 pm to 9 pm, Monday through Friday. On Saturday, they are open only for dinner.
It’s a bit tricky to park here, so leave yourself some time. but it’s definitely worth it: the food is excellent, the ambiance is relaxed, portions are generous, and servers are thoughtful. We definitely suggest trying the pizza here, especially if you have a group. However, the pastas are all delicious too, and the seasonal spaghetti with chili is a special favorite.
Italian Village
Our final choice has to be Italian Village, over on 3211 W. Wadley Ave in Midland. They’re open from 11 am until 9:30 pm during the week. On Saturday they don’t open until 4 pm, so be aware. This place has all the old-world charm you’re looking for in an Italian place.
Try one of their fantastic imported wines, but please drink responsibly and never drink and drive. The cannelloni is amazing, the crab-stuffed flounder, and their freshly baked bread with the garlic oil dip. The friend calamari tastes amazing here.

Is it time for a brake repair from your local Chrysler dealer in Odessa, TX? Read on to find out the tell-tale signs that you should stop putting the brakes on needed repairs.
Warning System
Every set of brakes has a life span. Knowing this detail, many auto-makers installed warning lights that will blink and provide a sound alert when you begin experiencing brake problems. Always be on the lookout for any such signal coming from the lights of your dashboard.
Abnormal Noises
When you apply your brakes, normally the process is seamless, and you will hear nothing but quiet. Worn brake pads will cause a very high-pitched squealing sound after pressure is applied to them. If the damage is more severe, you might hear a grinding noise instead. The presence of this sound indicates that you should get a repair as soon as possible before total failure occurs.
Bad Vibrations
Corrosion or other problems with rotors may cause your brake pedals to vibrate. Shaking or vibration may also extend up to your steering wheel. When you apply your brakes, you could feel something akin to a pulsing sensation as well.
Fluid Leaks
Brake fluid enables your car to come to a safe stop. Keep an eye on the levels of this critical fluid and take action if you suspect any leaks have taken place.
Brake Fade
This detrimental process happens when the brakes become less responsive. The best way to identify brake fade is to observe if your brake pedal feels spongy and offers little resistance when you apply the brakes. Less resistance from the brakes also makes the brake pedal droop closer to the floor of your car.
Pulling
Bad calipers or hoses can adversely impact one brake while leaving the other operable. When this mismatch occurs, the automobile may pull in the direction of the brake still working. Therefore, when you are driving you may notice your car pulling to either the left or the right.
Strange Odor
As brakes overheat, they emit a burning, chemical-like smell. You may pull over to the side of the road to allow the brakes to cool off until you can get them inspected and repaired. If any smoke is coming from underneath the car, though, you should avoid any further driving.
Reasons to Seek Repair from Trusted Experts
Brakes are some of the most important parts of your automobile. Bad brakes may endanger your life, so taking immediate action if you suspect a problem is crucial. Repairing brakes is not a process you want to take on yourself, however. Many parts are responsible for brake operation, and a trained eye can best locate the specific issue.
An inspection should come from qualified experts who can assess the safety of your auto and perform any needed maintenance. Service technicians receive the training and certification necessary to make such observations and repairs.
If you suspect brake problems, do not hesitate. Contact All American Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Odessa and our superior service team will get you back on the road with safety and peace of mind.

5 Truly Impressive Features of the 2021 RAM 3500
There are a lot of heavy-duty pickup trucks on the market, and the 2021 Ram 3500 is one of the best. Its power will blow you away, and its towing capacity is cheer-worthy. All of its features are impressive, but we narrowed it down to the top five that we think you’ll find the best. Let’s explore those together.
5 Truly Impressive Features of the 2021 RAM 3500
1. Its Towing Capacity
The RAM 3500’s towing capacity is really something to look up to. It’s come on leaps and bounds from last year. The 2020 RAM 3500 had a max towing capacity of 35,100 pounds with its diesel engine. This year, the diesel engine can lug 37,000 pounds. This beats many of the competitors, too.
2. Its Engine Options
There are two engine options available with the RAM 3500. The V8 engine is standard, and it’s incredibly powerful. It’s exactly what most people will need in a heavy-duty truck. However, if you need something extra sturdy, then you should consider the Cummins six-cylinder diesel engine. This engine can give you 1,075 pound-feet of torque, so you’ll really have a beast of a truck that can handle anything you throw at it.
Regardless of which you pick, the engine is paired to a six-speed automatic transmission, and the power that’s sent to the wheels makes this enormous truck easier to move than you’d expect. We find this highly respectable for a truck in this class.
3. It’s Easy to Manoeuvre
The RAM 3500 is surprisingly easy to maneuver for a truck of this size. The steering system is highly responsive, and driving it has a nimble feel. It’s easy to get this truck into tight spaces, too, making it a good pick for a city-dweller. The ease of driving it also means it’s a great entry-level model for someone who has never driven a truck this large all this heavy.
4. It’s Quiet
You’ll have a tranquil time in the cabin of the RAM 3500. The powerful engine does roar, but you won’t be able to hear it in your cabin. You also won’t be able to hear much wind or road noise. You’ll be able to have conversations and listen to your music with ease while you’re cruising down the highway or crunching across a trail in your highly-insulated cabin.
5. It’s Spacious
The RAM 3500 isn’t just big on the outside. It also has a spacious interior. There’s lots of headroom, legroom, and even elbow room in the cabin. The truck can hold four tall adults with no problems. You can also bring children in the vehicle with ease if you have to bring child safety seats, as there’s a latch system that’s simple to use when securing the seats. This will help you accommodate child safety seats of all sizes.
It even makes those bulky, rear-facing safety seats easy to fit into the vehicle, and anyone who owns one of those bulky child safety seats knows that it can sometimes be a struggle to get them to fit comfortably. The RAM 3500 ensures that the issue is no more.
Does the RAM 3500 appeal to you? We’re not surprised. Come to All American Chrysler Jeep Dodge Odessa to test drive it now.
